That's what keeps me committed to this. And I hope it's what calls you to come join in. So this is me - Erin (or Ernest, depending on the So this is me - Erin (or Ernest, depending on the day's gender). Most of you know me, or have met me at some point along the way. And it's been a pleasure to connect with every one of you. Whether we have been friends for years, I met you momentarily, or you found EmCo independently, I am so grateful for you who answered the call of curiosity and found yourself at one of our events or even just reading this text. I want to take a brief moment to talk about mental health and community. This project is - at its core - a community. My strength comes from the shared strength of everyone who inputs their energy into what we do. In the run-up to our last event, and indeed afterwards if I'm being truthful, my mental health was not doing as fabulously as it might. General overwhelm, tendencies towards depression and a huge cup of imposter syndrome had me doubting whether we should even attempt the event. But the belief of the EmCommunity carried me through, and allowed us to manifest a beautiful event. Here I am, dancing with joy in that moment. After the event, I fully wept with gratitude. I wept because so many people in this life suffer with isolating problems such as mental health issues (including me), and yet no way near enough of us have access to such nourishing and inspiring communities. Call me cringe, but I full on sobbed because I want everyone on this earth and in this life to have access to the nurturing energies I've been privileged enough to have access to. First and foremost, EmCo is a community, and an open call to all of you who care about consciousness (in all its forms) to come together, save the world, enable ethical lifestyles and have fun. I chose to share this story today because I'm feeling the call to be really real with you all. Leading a project like this is not easy, and many would say I should have waited until we had more money or expertise or whatever. But the call in my soul to connect with other conscious hearts and minds keeps bringing me back to this project, no matter how crazy my personal life or mental health gets.
